Happy New Moon!
Here's what I'm looking forward to this month. Are you joining me?
Wunjo !
Yesterday is not who you are. Yesterday is not in charge.
Did you wake up this morning with an energy hangover? Light-headedness, dehydration, all's not right with the world, everything's a bit wobbly? Didn't ground properly after an epic mind-blowing ritual? It's easily done.
Sometimes energy hangovers are a bit more subtle and harder to source: emotions that didn't quite get cleared, thoughts not quite processed (or processed at a superficial level), a numbness so familar you think it's normal, stress levels so familar you think they're normal.
Then there are the energy hangovers you were born into. Rules about the way the world works: how your appearance and accent are perceived; the role wealth and poverty play in your life; what level you are 'educated' to and what jobs you're told you are suitable for; the reasons you were given as to why walls, divisions, conflicts and wars are justified; why there are no simple answers to simple questions.
I remember being so sure, as a child, that in order to become an adult I would need to demonstrate my worthiness to enter this state of authority. Only, as we age it often seems that 'authority' simply steps out another pace. First it's your parents, then your teachers, then your boss, then the government, then the law.
Oh yes, the law. The one I'm referring to here is the one written down by human beings based on the wisdom of the Sage. Carefully, logically, impersonally. A passing on of inherited ways of being. A short-cut to complex decisions based on similar complex decisions made in the past. Did you notice this week that the UK is going to continue to sell arms to Isreal because, after due consideration, its been deemed to be within the law?
If the traditions of the past are no longer serving us they are an energy hang-over. Fossil fuels are energy-hangovers. Inequality is an energy-hangover. Commodification of our people and planet is an energy-hangover. Laws that let us off the hook are energy-hangovers.
You are a magic-maker. Remember that. You are a weaver of spells and a disentangler of spells. The Sage doesn't despair when they legacy they have faithfully tended proves fallible; no, they turn to the Seer. Odin dons his cape and broad-brimmed hat to seek the counsell of the ancient ones: volva, Nornir, Jotun.
Are you ready to weave a new spell? Then join me for this month of events exploring and developing the Seer.

Waxing Moon: Water spirits and gates between worlds, Monday 15th April 8:30pm UK time
The first memory I have is encountering a water spirit, age 3, as I discovered what I had forgotten in that moment of excitement at the water's edge - namely that I could not swim. In this session we are going to be exploring the often maligned and feared spirits of water from Jenny Green Teeth to Grindylows, the Nixie to Sjora, Tiddy Munn to Father Thames. Bring your notebook and your curiosity.
Full Moon: The Sovereignty of the rebellious Seer, Monday 22nd April 11am UK time
This week's Full Moon is our chance to tap into the Seer's power. This can shake up old habits and generate new ideas. We'll learn from water deities including Hulda, Ran, Aegir, Nerthus, Njord, Saga, and the Nornir.
Waning Moon: Celebration & Release, Monday 29th April 11am UK time
Releasing and healing with the spirits of water. Bring your celebrations from the month past and find a quiet space to experience this month's release meditation.
